Zynga teams with Fast & Furious for year-long event series in CSR2

Zynga, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, is speeding into a year of events bringing Fast & Furious film content into CSR2.

Players can take on the challenge of racing at the in-game Power of the Road racing festival set in the California desert. Throughout the year, six in-game events will be available for users to test their racing skills, collect new cars and animated reward stickers inspired by the films, earn in-game cash, and form rivalries with other players.

Zynga, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, is kicking off the partnership now. Starting today, CSR2 will rev up an in-game experience inspired by the Fast & Furious films.

“The Fast & Furious saga is one of the most iconic film series and is synonymous with high-octane street racing action,” said Zynga vice president of games Sam Cooper, in a statement. “What better way to celebrate the franchise’s love for speed and family than strapping into the driver’s seat and hitting the pavement in CSR2, racing for cars and glory?”

CSR2 is available now as a free download on iOS and Android devices. Fast & Furious has had 11 films that have earned more than $7 billion at the worldwide box office since 2001.

Universal Pictures’ record-smashing, homegrown Fast & Furious Saga has become the studio’s most-profitable and longest-running franchise. Across social media platforms, the fan following for the movies and cast has grown into the biggest of any active franchise.
