A new render shows an iPhone 12 with a 5.4-inch OLED display

The new “iPhone 12 5.4” render. (Source: LetsGoDigital)The iPhone 12 series is currently thought to have a total of 4 variants. A new set of 3D images shows what one with a 5.4-inch screen would look like. It has the iPad Pro-esque form factor of previous renders, as well as a standard Apple notch. It is speculated that it will have the same new SoC as its other variants.

Apple may release up to 4 variants of its 2020 iPhone. Based on the latest leaks surrounding these devices, one of them is thought to have a trend-bucking 5.4-inch display. Now, LetsGoDigital has generated a new set of renders that illustrate this idea.
This “iPhone 12” does indeed give the impression of having a smaller footprint than usual. The sub-6 inch screen that gives it this form is said to be OLED, of an uncertain resolution. The same panel has the almost-obligatory notch, which may be more noticeable with its smaller dimensions.
As for any additional specs, it may be tempting to imagine this model would be as a ‘Lite’ variant to this series. However, it is expected to get the same A14 Bionic chipset set to debut in other, possibly higher-end models such as the 12 Pro. In addition, LetsGoDigital has given it a range of colors, which include (possibly gratifyingly to the Apple fan) matte black.
This base-model iPhone may have 4GB of RAM; however, it is now rumored to start at US$649, which pretty much pushes it out of SE territory. However, for this price, the user may not get a 120 hertz (Hz) display: this spec may be reserved for the Pro version only.

This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
